On 28 April 2023, the first stage of the graduation examination for the German vocational qualification of Rhein Koester was successfully completed. The examination lasted for seven days and was open to three disciplines, including mechatronics, electrical automation and industrial mechanics. 171 students of the Sino-German class of 2021 from 10 institutions, including Zibo Vocational Institute, Pingdu Industrial Technical College, Shandong Industrial Technical College and Luzhong Vocational College, took part in this examination.

The first stage of the German professional qualification examination consists of 1.5 hours of theory and 6.5 hours of practical handling, and the examination papers are fully synchronised with the content of the German examinations. The examiners from the AHK (Shanghai) Examination Board and members of the examination team set up by Rhein Koester followed the principle of separation of teaching and examinations, and the examination process was strictly arranged in accordance with the relevant regulations to ensure the smooth running of the examination.

The German Vocational Qualification Examination is divided into two stages, which are held at the end of the fourth and sixth semester respectively. After passing both stages, students will be awarded the European recognized German Vocational Qualification Certificate, which will lay a solid foundation for quality employment.
